Immersing herself in the creative arts from an early age, Alice Lang has held down residencies at Metro Arts in Brisbane and at the Klondike Institute of Art and Culture in Yukon, Canada. Working mainly with soft sculpture and video and utilising materials such as fur fabric and wet-look vinyl, Alice’s creations “oscillate between allure and repulsion”. Since winning SOYA in 2006 she has gone into hyperdrive, using her flight prize to exhibit extensively in Brisbane and Melbourne. She has also participated in her first international exhibition "The Last Vestige" which took place on a junk boat on the Mekong River, near Saigon in Vietnam.
